Discover The Magic
Of Stardust

Stardust is the magic in the soil, the grapes, and the dreams of the viticulturists and winemakers who create our celestial wine.

Serendipity has no timetable. It happens, or it doesn’t. But once in a very great while, the stars and planets align perfectly, and in just that moment, magic happens. And so, it was when Michael Dellar, a restaurateur whose restaurants have earned Michelin Stars and James Beard Awards, and Mort Friedkin, a real estate developer of prized properties, climbed a hill on Soda Canyon Road in Napa Valley after a 20-year vineyard quest. They immediately understood the possibilities.

Sommeliers love that we bottle-age the wine for up to three years before release to help align all the elements into a truly delicious wine. That’s why we call it a “Sommelier’s wine.”

Delishness

It seems a bit strange talking about restaurants on a winery website, but home is where the heart is. Michael Dellar has opened dozens of restaurants over a 45-year hospitality career and Mr. Friedkin has been a partner in many, as well as a landlord to several prominent Northern California eateries. Resilience, creativity, community, and passion surrounding restaurants like One Market and The Lark Creek Inn are exemplary. The magic in these and other Bay Area classics exemplifies the enduring culinary culture in the Bay Area. Food and hospitality are core inspirations for Stardust, and part of the fairy dust that makes our wine incomparable with everything from prime rib to a juicy burger.

What's with the Monkeys?

A picture is worth a thousand words and designer Michael Mabry’s label tells a galactic story to amuse, challenge and delight. When Michael presented us with his design, we immediately recognized it as something transcending a simple logo. We loved the playfulness, numerology, overlapping geographic symbology, and of course, the joyful pair of primates. We said “that’s it!”…on the one condition that the symbolism would remain a mystery, even to us. Michael agreed, and to this day, your guess is as good as ours.

Magic is in the eye of the beholder, so what do you see?
